WHAT WE OFFER

Each member of the Guardian Angels family takes pride in offering a number of services to our clients. We aim to make preplanning funeral arrangements as easy and stress free as possible so families of the elderly or infirm will be taken care of when their loved one departs.

We also strive to make families feel as loved and cared for as possible in the tragic event of an unexpected death. We serve as guardians and liaisons to families who have lost someone and are left with the unfortunate job of planning a funeral. We have partnered with companies in the funeral industry to make the process as smooth as possible. As many of us who have lost a loved one will know, the pain and anguish does not stop once the funeral/services are planned and completed. That’s why our team at Guardian Angels Trauma Experts are focused on the continued healing of our clients. Our clients are considered family and we are determined to do everything we can to see our family members provided with as many healing options as possible.

When you become a member of the Guardian Angels Trauma Experts you get access to services beyond the basics. What are those services?

Emotional Support Dogs

We currently have one Emotional Support Animal (ESA) on staff who will soon be attending Therapy Dog training as well. Our resident ESA, Zero, is a 4 year old male German Shepherd Dog who has been a part of the family since he was 8 weeks old. Zero was adopted from a home in central Ohio before relocating down to the Tampa, Fl area. Zero is a fun loving, sweet, energetic dog who loves to play fetch with his favorite ball and give lots of kisses. As we grow we plan on adding more dogs to our team to help service our family members in need.

There is no time table or standard on grieving or healing and we understand this. We want people to know that we still have your best interest in mind even after your funeral/service is complete. Once you become a member of the Guardian Angels Trauma Experts you will have access to our dogs around the clock.

The following is according to HopskinsMedicine.org. “Research has shown that simply petting a dog lowers the stress hormone cortisol, while the social interaction between people and their dogs actually increases levels of the feel-good hormone oxytocin (the same hormone that bonds mothers to babies).

In fact, an astonishing 84 percent of post-traumatic stress disorder patients paired with a service dog reported a significant reduction in symptoms, and 40 percent were able to decrease their medications, reported a recent survey.”

Not only do studies show that the companionship of a dog can reduce stress levels but they can also increase physical activity, lower blood pressure, boost heart health and ease loneliness and depression.

We at Guardian Angels Trauma Experts strongly believe in this research and will always be available to let you try it out for yourself. Not everyone is in the position to own a dog so we would love to be there to give you some time with ours. Guardian Angels Trauma Experts ESA’s are complimentary to all family members.

Weekly Greif Group

It is no secret that therapy and counseling can do wonders for people in all aspects of life. Therapy can help address stress that occurs as a result of life events. When a person is stressed due to loss, divorce, or a life-altering medical diagnosis, therapy can help address these concerns and other effects they can have on a person’s life.

At Guardian Angels we understand the importance of counseling but we also understand the difficulty in taking first steps on this road to recovery. Always remember how many outlets are available around you at all times; family, friends, clergy, hotlines, therapists, etc. Unfortunately, not everyone is comfortable opening up to people in their lives for many different reasons. Here at Guardian Angels we know how difficult this can be and that is why we offer a weekly grief group for all of our clients/family members. An anonymous group of like minded people who can gather over light beverages and snacks and talk about their situation or just sit and listen.

We want our family members to know this group will continuously be there for them when they need it. We will also have our Emotional Support Animal’s on hand if requested for the group sessions.

Guardianship

As we all know aging is inevitable. As we age, we lose certain abilities such as eyesight, hearing, mobility and more. With the loss of these functions many everyday tasks can become difficult or even impossible. Unfortunately, not everyone is in the position to be available all hours for their loved ones. As another resource for families, we at Guardian Angels Trauma Experts offer an addition service for guardianship of your loved ones. From transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, restocking groceries and/or scheduling and maintaining household care, Guardian Angels wants to ensure your loved one is in trusting hands. Call or text any time for a consultation into funeral pre planning or guardianship options.

Moving Forward

The members of Guardian Angels Trauma Experts are passionate about continuing giving back to our family members. We will continue to implement more ideas and ways to help everyone who uses our services. We encourage you to please head over to our ‘Idea Center’ page to submit any questions, comments, concerns or ideas for the improvement of our team.
